چکیده

The use of residual current devices (RCDs) is obligatory in many types low-voltage circuits. They are that ensure protection against electric shock the case indirect contact and may additional direct contact. For latter purpose protection, only RCDs a rated operating not exceeding 30 mA suitable. Unfortunately, modem current-using equipment supplied via electronic converters with pulse width modulation produces earth fault currents composed high-frequency components. Frequency these components have even several dozen kHz. Such negatively influence RCDs’ tripping level and, hence, be ineffective. This paper presents results test for frequencies up to 50 shown offered on market able trip such frequencies. behavior was also noted F-type B-type which recommended circuits Results been related requirements standards concerning operation. conclusion sufficient nowadays should modified. Proposals their modification presented.

Vowel recognition at fundamental frequencies up to 1 kHz reveals point vowels as acoustic landmarks.

The phonological function of vowels can be maintained at fundamental frequencies (fo) up to 880 Hz [Friedrichs, Maurer, and Dellwo (2015). J. Acoust. Soc. Am. 138, EL36-EL42]. Here, the influence of talker variability and multiple response options on vowel recognition at high fos is assessed. The stimuli (n = 264) consisted of eight isolated vowels (/i y e ø ε a o u/) produced by three female n...

Calibration of the pressure sensitivity of microphones by a free-field method at frequencies up to 80 khz.

A free-field (FF) substitution method for calibrating the pressure sensitivity of microphones at frequencies up to 80 kHz is demonstrated with both grazing and normal-incidence geometries. The substitution-based method, as opposed to a simultaneous method, avoids problems associated with the nonuniformity of the sound field and, as applied here, uses a 1/4-in. air-condenser pressure microphone ...

Vibration pattern of the organ of Corti up to 50 kHz: evidence for resonant electromechanical force.

Electromechanical force derived from the soma of the outer hair cell has long been postulated as the basis of the exquisite sensitivity of the cochlea. The problem with this postulate is that the electrical source and mechanical load for the electromechanical outer hair cell might be severely attenuated and phase-shifted by the electrical impedance of the cell and the mechanical impedance of th...
